It is Paola Turci for Italy!

The Italian OGAE club has chosen its entrant for the OGAE Second Chance contest!

Paola Turci was born in Rome in 1964. She debuted in the Sanremo Festival in 1986 and later on she took part in the festival several times:

1986: L’uomo di ieri #nf (Nuove Proposte Division)

1987: Primo tango #nf (Nuove Proposte Division)

1988: Sarò bellissima #nf (Nuove Proposte Division)

1989: Bambini #1 (Emergenti Division)

1990: Ringrazio Dio #4 equal to all the other partecipants (Campioni Division)

1993: Stato di calma apparente #7 (Campioni Division)

1996: Volo così #10 (Campioni Division)

1998: Solo con me #4 (Campioni Division)

2001: Saluto l’Inverno #5 (Campioni Division)

2017: Fatti bella per te #5 (Campioni Division)

In 1993, Paola had a terrible car accident which influences her life up to this day.  Nevertheless, Paola managed to record 17 albums that had a huge success in Italy. She also took part in plenty of Italian song contests such as Festivalbar or Il Cantagiro.

As the years went on, Paola had a lot hits in Italy. Apart from the Sanremo’s songs, she got a wider success with E mi arriva il mare (with Riccardo Cocciante), Sai che è un attimo, Mi chiamo Luka, Mani giunte, Io sono and Danza intorno al sole.

Paola is definitely one of the best Italian songwriters, touring all over Italy and taking part in many charity events.

The song for OSC 2017 is called Fatti bella per te and was written by Giulia Anania, Luca Chiaravalli, Davide Simonetta and by the artist herself.
